THE AFTERLIFE OF SAINT VIDICON OF CATHODE The Abbot of Gramarye seeks out an unknown legend about the founder of his order, St. Vidicon, in a short story I wrote for the 2004 Masters of Fantasy anthology.  Much of this story got incorporated into Saint Vidicon to the Rescue, but without the Gramarye portions. Part 1: Lost Legend (18 pages, 4,837 words) After dying, St. Vidicon finds himself not in Heaven but in Hell, where God has sent him to do battle with the spirits of perversity.  First up: the Imp of the Perverse, Murphy, and two-faced Janus. Part 2: Victory in Defeat   (23 pages, 6,549 words) St. Vidicon, armed only with faith and an underdstanding of perversity, battles the Gremilin, the Mule, the Spirit of Paradox, and ultimately Finagle himself.
