Remembering Christopher Stasheff

I'll post more later about his final hours, but for now I just wanted to say thank you to all of you, his fans. About ten years ago, dad's writing career seemed to have stalled. He was continuing to write and submit manuscripts, but hadn't been published in several years. He was awfully down on hims...

Re: Starship Troupers 4: The Unknown Guest

All this is very helpful information. I think Prudence was supposed to meet a rich boyfriend on Corona and stay behind, but Chris forgot to write that in (the Parkinson's influence is noticable in this rough draft). My sister Elea and I do plan to revise it and release it, but I imagine it will be a...

Re: Why isn’t Volume 7 in Kindle?

The Crusading Wizard was/is being rewritten slightly, due to the discovery of several plot discrepancies during the ebook conversion. I'm sorry, but I can't really give an honest estimate as to when the ebook will be coming, out as things are very chaotic in my life right now. In the meantime, you a...

Re: Is Stasheff still seeking Royal Eckert (mentioned in intro to #5)

Oh no! What I shame! It looks like there might have been a few months, between when the ebook of WIR #5 came out and when Royal passed away, that Chris could have contacted him. Any idea if he got to see the intro to #5 before he passed?

Re: Gwen's story

Hmm. To the best of my knowledge, Chris has never written a prequel for Gwen, although that does sound interesting, now that you mention it. Back i the 80s, though, he did have a book planned from Gwen's perspective called "The Warlock Walks Out" where Rod and Gwen separate for a while due...

Re: LOL, I built a home-made WIZARD IN SPITE ebook

Oh, man! What a shame! Spite has been available as an ebook since at least 2010, I believe, and badly-scanned digital bootlegs have been available on the internet even longer (if you knew where to look). Still, if you want to send us your version, I'm sure Chris would enjoy seeing what a labor of lo...

Re: Available as eBook?

(sigh) Crusading wizard is still on the table. I was hoping to have it out in 2017, and was actually making progress on it this spring... but then Life jumped out from behind a bush, sucker-punched me in the kidneys, then laughed as it rummaged through my pockets looking for spare change while I wri...

Re: Starship Troupers 4: The Unknown Guest

udiosd and OutOfAfrica , yes, you are correct, book four IS two books crammed into one. Chris originally planned the series to be five books, but the series was cancelled after book 3 due to sluggish sales (the overlap between theater folk and sci-fi fans exists, but is small). To cap off the serie...
