Re: Respect and best wishes

Thank you very much, Aeneas. Good TO hear from you. I hope you're enjoying the stories Ortho is publishing here. Hopefully they will shame an ink-and-paper publisher into putting out one of my new-but-unsold manuscripts.

Re: Respect and best wishes

Thank you, Arsen, I'm delighted that you found your own Gwendylon. My grandparents came from Odessa but didn't meet each other until they came to New York. If I wrote that in a story, I'd be accused of writing urban fantasy -- not that I would mind, of course. I was lucky enough to be able to attend...

Thank you so much, Krok -- for your kind words, but also for letting us know that we're being translated in Bulgarian! It's s surprising and delightful to know I have international appeal.

I would be honored and delighted to autograph bookplates for you, wgthom -- and also for anyone else who wants to fill out their collections and inflate my ego. However, as Kf6eml reminds us, it works best if you send them to me (SASE (self-addressed and with stamp already on - they're much more lik...

Re: Movie?

Thanks for the compliment, Blue Ghost. Years ago -- thirty or so -- I did have one nibble from a would-be producer, but nothing came of it. Of course, I thin it would make a great movie, or even a series for Saturday mornings -- a lot less lethal than the current fair. But until Hollywood realizes w...

Thanks, Aeneas. That's a wonderful scene. Couldn't have done it better myself.

Re: Movie?

I would love to see a movie version, Blue Ghost, but so far no nibbles since about 1979. We can hope, though. If you happen to have a friend in the movie industry, you might try to work it into the conversation.

Thanks!

Keep up the efforts to get back into the industry, Blue Ghost -- you're needed. After all, the Doctor has proved that Shakespeare and science fiction can be compatible.

Re: I enjoyed reading your thoughts about making Macbeth

Glad to hear you're keeping the Bard alive, Mike. Some years ago, my daughter was in a production of MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM -- set in the Okefenokee swamp! Puck was a conjure man. I had seen productions equally re-set when I was in grad school at University of Nebraska -- Prof. Morgan could be coun...

Re: Why is Magnus a giant?

It's hard to remember, now, thirty years after the fact, but I think it was because that's the way he appeared in my imagination. I always pay attention to my subconscious, especially when it speaks through my imagination. Sometimes we have very energetic disagreements (read arguments). With Gar, I ...
