Re: Remembering Christopher Stasheff

I replied to the email, but I can imagine that your inbox exploded that day... I am very sorry to hear that we have lost our beloved Author, but given how much his health has declined, I cannot help but feel happy for him, in that his having to suffer through the problems and pains is over. I am hap...

Re: WHERE THE $%&# HAVE WE BEEN?!

I figured it was something like that. I'm sorry to hear it. My father is getting old, but mentally, he's in relatively good shape, thankfully. His body is starting to break down, but he manages. For how long is anybody's guess. What really sucks is that his wife's alzheimer's is progressing rapidly....

Re: Available as eBook?

I believe that they're trying to get all of the books converted to various electronic formats. It's taking a while, because of copyright and technical issues, and the fact that they're quite busy with other concerns. Ortho would be the one to answer your question definitively, but he hasn't had the ...

Re: Retired - but not resting

Finally settling in to the new abode. I just moved the last box out of storage, got all of the utilities (including internet) activated, and am now sorting through years of accumulated belongings to decide what stays, what gets donated to Salvation Army, and what goes in the yard sale. (Or the burn ...

Re: Forlorn Fan

You're in luck!

Poke around in the archives on the site, and you will find the ending to the story.

You'll find a few other good stories as well.

Re: Wizard Required

You know, the Good Doctor seems to be such a natural storyteller - I'm not sure whether he's actually a true bard or just a very good/practiced writer - perhaps he could just voice-record all of the stories that run through that magnificent brain. I understand that he has some difficulty typing, lat...

Re: Escape Velocity Reading Order Question...

Escape Velocity is not so much a prequel as it is a sort of history. It does happen in the "past" of TWISOH, but you don't need to read it to understand and enjoy what's happening in the later books. Likewise, reading it first will not spoil the "later" books.

Retired - but not resting

Well, it's official. As of Tuesday, I am no longer a member of our armed forces. I was medically retired for the back injury (herniated disc) I got in Afghanistan, and am now waiting for the call-back from a civilian company, so I can begin working as an aircraft maintainer/repairer. I've settled in...
