Well, it's been twelve hours and no spam yet, so I think we can declare a temporary victory. My apologies for not dealing with the spam issue before now; I'm still kinda new to forum administration.

I understand spambots are constantly evolving, learning to "read" the letters in the CAPTCHA images at registration time, so it may just be a matter of time before they begin creeping back onto our forum. Apparently, one can never defeat spambots, just try to stay one step ahead of them. I'll try to keep on top of it in the future.

But for now... HOORAY!
