Escape Velocity Reading Order Question...

I am about to begin the Warlock Series, and I know that Escape Velocity takes place before The Warlock In Spite of Himself. Should I read Escape Velocity first? Will reading EV first take away from or reveal anything I should learn in TWISOH? I just want to make sure I read them in a way that maximizes my enjoyment!!! Thanks.

Escape Velocity is not so much a prequel as it is a sort of history. It does happen in the "past" of TWISOH, but you don't need to read it to understand and enjoy what's happening in the later books. Likewise, reading it first will not spoil the "later" books.
