Perhaps I could have been more clear: I have never been published. The only short pieces that may be worth sharing that come to my mind were pieces that other friends of mine have had published. There are some short stories I liked, but the ones I like enough to want to share them were usually in magazines or anthologies.

The only short pieces I've completed were the ones on my website (which is now defunct - we moved and changes ISPs) and the longer pieces I have been writing are unfinished, with little likelihood that they will ever be finished. The stories are just not turning out to be all that interesting on paper. I don't have the talent for writing dialog, and the action doesn't flow very well. It's more like reading a tech manual that explains activities, and less like watching the activities happen.

Ummm. I take it back. Maybe I have been published.

I subscribe to GAMES magazine, and I found an error in one of their puzzles. I wrote a 6-stanza limerick with the dual purpose of pointing it out (gleefully rubbing it in...) and begging for a T-shirt. They published the limerick, with credit, and sent me a T-shirt.

So, if letters to the editor count, then I guess you could say that I have been "published." (And got the T-shirt to prove it ;))
