Caricature of Chris

One of Christopher Stasheff's former students (Patricia Imbriglio Kerkhoff) sent me a caricature she drew of him back in 1976. I have to admit, it's kinda perfect if you knew him back then! Professor Stasheff (known as "Doc" to his students) was never seen without a cigarette and a cup of coffee (apparently professors were allowed to smoke in the classroom during lectures back then, I guess). Although he'd quit smoking by 1980, he was a coffee fiend for the rest of his life. Click thumbnail for larger image
